nonclassical is a registered charity and committed to producing the best new classical, electronic and experimental music. Since becoming a charity, our output has been dedicated to:

Being curious and experimental

From commissioning unconventional works - including our recent Concerto for Drum Machine and Orchestra - to collaborating with new music veterans, such as our collaboration with Jim O’Rourke and Langham Research Centre, pushing the boundaries and conventions of classical, electronic and experimental genres will always be at the forefront of what we do.

Promoting the best new classical, electronic and experimental music

Working as both a record label and events producer, we are able to promote our artists on both a national and international scale. We have released 34 records to date which have been listened to around the world, and we have promoted events in the UK, Europe, Japan and beyond.

Providing a unique platform for emerging artists

Supporting emerging artists and their creative output is integral to our core values. Through both our label and live events, we are able to nurture and support our artists through unique schemes, such as our Associate Composers Scheme and Outside the Lines series.

Spreading new music to new audiences

We believe new music is for everyone. By presenting our events in non-traditional performance settings, we can break down barriers and reach audiences who would otherwise be intimidated by a more traditional concert setting. We’ve produced events at both prestigious venues such as the National Theatre and the Royal Opera House’s Paul Hamlyn Hall; to more informal settings including XOYO, Village Underground and our regular venue, The Victoria, Dalston.
