Kinna’s work has been performed and displayed across the country, including at T Street Gallery, Eastside Projects, the Royal Academy of Music and Flatpack Film Festival and the Manchester Jazz Festival. Their film Lights was selected to be displayed in the 2023 Royal Academy of Art Summer Exhibition and was awarded the Arts Club Under-35 Award. Their work has been played on BBC Radio 3, BBC Radio Sussex and Brum Radio.
Kinna completed a degree in composition at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in 2024.
Kinna is a British composer, singer, visual artist and musician. Their work is multi-faceted and includes acoustic and electronic music, art film, music/sound production and performance.
Kinna often focuses on utilising their voice in their work, which spans a wide range of musical genres. While studying with Gavin Bryars, they were inspired to learn the viola da gamba (having grown up with the cello) and to play the harpsichord, which has greatly influenced their songwriting style. While at Conservatoire, Kinna formed the electronic music group Her Revelation, in which they are the vocalist.
