Former victors of our legendary Battle of the Bands competition, Consortium5 are a unique kind of recorder quintet. Formed in 2005 when they were all students at the Royal Academy of Music, the group have since established themselves as one of the foremost recorder consorts of their generation. With a diversity that defies belief, they nail everything from traditional renaissance-era recorder music, through to modern compositions that stretch the capacities of their specially built instruments.
