Outside the Lines showcases new and developing contemporary classical artists, bringing interesting, boundary-pushing music to the fore, spanning the breadth of the classical contemporary scene in London.
You'll hear music by Tom Richards (whose music has been described as ritualistic post techno), Dani Howard, Colin Alexander from Tre Voci and violin duo Mainly Two, and there'll be DJ sets from Nonclassical DJs including George Percy.
Tom Richards' music is always live and always improvised. Each session is unique and never to be repeated, as none of his handmade electronic instruments have any built in memory. Expect taut, suspenseful, dynamic and polyrhythmic musical structures.
Programme by violin duo Mainly Two:
Dani Howard - Symmetry. A short, animated work which challenges the performers' natural instincts of playing either a leading or an accompanying role. It continuously and seamlessly shifts between the two roles in symmetry to each other, keeping both the players and the audience on their feet!
